Solway Wetlands Apprenticeships
Interviews will be taking place soon to appoint two apprentices to work and train in the field of environmental conservation on the Solway Plain in North Cumbria. These two posts are a great opportunity to learn on the job alongside reserve staff as well as achieving an Intermediate (L2) Apprenticeship in Environmental Conservation through Newton Rigg College at Penrith.
One apprentice will be hosted by Cumbria Wildlife Trust in north Carlisle and the other by Natural England at their Kirkbride office near Wigton and willl work on a range of wetland sites on the Solway Plain.
These posts are part of the Heritage Lottery funded Solway Wetlands Landscape Partnership Scheme. Applicants with a level 4 or above qualification are not eligible for this scheme.
